Landscape is an integral part of architecture. The relationship between the building and its environment is fundamental to the success of each.  We work with the natural elements inherent in a property and design to capitalize on views, solar orientation and garden elements to enhance both exterior and interior spaces. We have extensive experience in landscape architectural design throughout New England.

Land & Water

Interesting views occur in the places where land meets water. These transitional edges are unique landscapes where change occurs daily. As designers working within the natural world we enhance these spaces with indigenous plant materials that adapt and complement as well as provide habitats for wildlife.  The architecture is sited for maximum views of sensitive, carefully designed natural spaces.

When we design a landscape, we often include a country garden to renew the spirit.  Cutting flowers, vegetables, rose gardens, or easy-to-maintain perennial gardens are a delight to the soul.

The design of subtle changes of grade can produce seasonal patterns of falling leaves, snow, wildflowers and the shadows of trees on a summer lawn.
