Masconomo Cottage It was the largest hotel on the north shore and could sleep over 200 guests. Theatrical productions were performed in an outdoor amphitheatre. Masconomo Cottage To accommodate the actors and actresses, a barn was converted to a guest cottage. The cottage itself was a kind of stage set as the architectural elements were literally applied to the surface of the barn.
Masconomo Cottage This became an intriguing and quirky house, as virtually all its room were bedrooms. Masconomo Cottage was lacking in the kinds of spaces that would make it a home. Masconomo Cottage The Masconomo House was built in 1878 at the corner of Beach and Masconomo Streets, as a guest house for actors performing at the Masconomo House Theatre. Masconomo Cottage To make it suitable for a family, a large kitchen wing was added and fitted into the rocky landscape in the back of the house. New baths and a new three-car garage which matched the existing structure were added.
