Charles Cobb House
Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts
The original Charles Cobb House was built by Roberts and Hoare in 1898. It was a straightforward, four-square, Colonial Revival house designed for the formal lifestyle of the period.
Rogers-Stanwood House
Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts
Built by Roberts and Hoare, this magnificent Shingle Style cottage, sited on the highest point of land on Smith’s Point, overlooks Manchester Harbor and Long Beach. It was completely renovated to accommodate the needs of a large family.
Masconomo Cottage
Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts
This guest house was built as lodging for the actors performing at the Masconomo House Theatre. The Masconomo House was built in 1878 at the corner of Beach and Masconomo Streets. It was the largest hotel on the north shore and could sleep over 200 guests. Theatrical productions were performed in a outdoor amphitheatre.
Major Renovations
Although renovations do not offer the freedom of new construction, we particularly enjoy these projects because they allow us to combine our extensive knowledge of historic architecture with the challenge of incorporating the best of today's comforts and conveniences into an appropriate solution to suit the family's lifestyle.
Sunnybank
Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts
This waterfront house was originally built to incorporate a staff of servants. Our architectural challenge was to preserve the historic interiors and yet adapt the house to the needs of a modern family.
