This was accomplished by wrapping the entire exterior in a spacious porch that could accommodate a modern kitchen and family room while providing views of Manchester harbor. In addition, a new five car garage was built in the existing basement.

This house was originally built to incorporate a staff of servants. The architectural challenge was to preserve the historic interiors and yet adapt the house to the needs of a modern family.
