Seacroft Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts This unique home in form and materials pays homage to the great Shingle Style cottages built in Manchester-by-the-Sea in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Charles Cobb House Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts The Moorings Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts We designed the recreation of The Moorings to accommodate the needs of a modern family. The construction process was featured on a 26 PBS episode of This Old House in 2001. First House Ridgefield, Connecticut The first residence that I designed after graduating from The Yale School of Architecture, this modern residence embraces the family with its large roof. This thatch-like primitive form is sheltering a contemporary open floor plan. The Green House Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts This home was built for a retired couple who were interested in the modern architecture of the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. They wanted their home to be energy efficient and to blend with the natural environment. Fields Rock Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts This three story house is a recreation of a late 19th century summer cottage perched on a rock outcrop overlooking Lobster Cove in Manchester-by-the-Sea. Eagle Head Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts Norton's Point Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts Watch House Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts Built on the foundations of a family summer cottage which was beyond repair, the client was pleased that we were able to capture the spirit of their earlier childhood home that merged Greek Revival and Shingle Style architecture. Woodland Cottage Seabrook, New Hampshire New Construction Over half of our work is new construction. Our close familiarity with the best of older buildings in the area gives us an enlightened perspective on the vernacular of the community. We design not only to reflect the needs and personality of the owners, but to compliment the natural environment and the built environment as well.
